About Me

Updated:

I am, as the title of my blog indicates - Sandy.

I am a 43 year old mom of two adult children who loves to cook, learn new things and have gatherings with family and friends.

I recently moved away from the town I was born and raised in, although less than 20 miles away.

As mentioned, my kids are adults.  My son is deputy in the town where he was born and raised.  He always wanted to work the K-9 division and is doing that.  I'm super proud of him and am happy he is living his dream.   My daughter is a college student and lives at home with us. She works as well and had a 4.0 last semester!  I am super proud of her too!

I am in retail management and also attend college.  I've always done it part-time because of my job requirements but this semester I am attempting to do this full-time. YIKES.

This blog is a  mix of my ramblings, my soul-searching and I hope to add my Pinterest experiments.

I am, as the title of my blog indicates, Sandy.  :-D

I am *cough* 41 *cough* years young and live in SE Georgia.  I live in the same town where I have lived my entire life.  Sometimes that makes me feel limited, but mostly it makes me feel grounded.  I love that my kids attend(ed) the same schools as their father and I. I love that some of our teachers also taught them.  I love that they are friends with the kids of school friends of ours. I love that they are close to their cousins and aunts/uncles.

I jumped ahead a little with that statement, didn't I?

I am blessed with two wonderful kids.  I call them boychild and girlchild here and on facebook.

Boychild is almost 20 and is a deputy with our county.

Girlchild is 17 and is a JR in high school.

They are, and always will be, the light of my life.

I am currently in a crossroads of life, for many reasons.  I am struggling with some things but try to be positive and happy.  I have moments, sometimes days, when this is difficult.  Ultimately I know, however, that we must enjoy TODAY because tomorrow is not promised to us.

I am not where I want to be in my relationship with God but I'm working on that.  I know he's patiently waiting on me to find my path again.  I know he guides me.

Anyhoo, ^ that is ME.

Welcome to my blog.
