Boychild had his follow up appointment yesterday and has been put on light duty for approximately 4 weeks. He also is to start PT this coming week. He's glad it is not the orginal 6 weeks he was told in the ER but is still very uncomfortable. I know PT will be painful for him but is the only way for him to competely heal.
He broke his ankle for the first time when he was 6 --- he broke/injured it so often after the original break the doctors often couldn't look at his x-rays and know if it was broken or sprained due to so much scar tissue .... so they usually treated it like a break. He said this dislocated shoulder hurts WAY worse than any of these breaks did.
Girlchild goes to her new doctor on Tuesday. She also returns to the eye doctor for a recheck on Tuesday. Her eyes are looking so much better ..... and once the swelling was down a little and I was in charge of putting drops in her eyes I could see MYSELF how swollen her actual eye was and why the Urgent One doctor was freaking out. I'm glad I couldn't see it that first day.
She's not worried about the upcoming visit, or the testing .... and I'm trying hard, not to be.
