Tonight is my last night working at Job2. I have to go in tomorrow and clock in for 30mins or so to make it my last official day. The boss requested this to ensure I get the bonus I earned in March. Like many companies a person has to be "on payroll" to receive bonus', regardless of when they earned them. I think he rocks to make sure I get mine and I'll turn in my keys then since I can't tonight (gotta lock up, right??).
I've started my training at Job1 and it is going well. My new pay rate started this week too ;-)
Girlchild is having an flare up with the eye inflammation disease and today we go back to the doctor to have it checked. Flare ups happen but it does concern me that the drops (used during flare ups) up are not enough for long term management. The meds she was put on for it (by the RA) she was allergic to .... so not really sure where we go from here. She goes to the RA on the 5th and the opthamologist today so I hope to know more.
Boychild is doing well :-) My new schedule will allow me to see him more, and he's coming over for dinner Monday night. I'm happy :-) I know kids grow up and move out but I wasn't ready to NOT live with my whole family. Changes cannot be avoided but neither can the emotions that go with that change.
I'm hanging in there; focusing on the beauty and positive in my life. As blessed as I am, one would think that would be EASY but I have no shame in admitting it can be difficult. I've been thrown a few lemons the last few years .... I'm working on that lemonade hard though. The balance between gratitude and emotional pain is/can be interesting.
Finally got a contact script that works. I am using a trial pair now (well, I was before I LOST one of them) and will go ahead and order them when I take girlchild in today for her visit. They are not as comfortable as the Oasis I wore at first BUT I can see out of them. That is way more important, huh? Especially since they are my back-up plan.
edited to add update: eye dr confirmed flare up, said to use one of the drops twice a day. She forwarded today's visit to the RA (she goes there the 4th) and confirmed that she will need to try an alternative medication to control the disease. The RA is the one who prescribes that so we'll know more the 4th! Recheck at eye doctor on the 3rd.

To know everything is to know nothing.
interesting quote ;-) I'm not really sure what it has to do with the particular post but ....
