- I turned in my notice @ job2 this week. I really, really, like the people there and regret having to leave but the promotion @ job1 is, hopefully, going to make my life run much smoother.
- I had to laugh at my boss though. He's been telling me for months that I could do his job (elsewhere of course, as in a transfer) and how he wanted to train me. As soon as I turned in my notice (well, after he told me "NO, you cannot GO") he told me, "this is the right choice for you, you need a good job, a career even, and THIS job SUCKS.". LMAO. I tend to agree. As grateful as I am for having it, the responsibilities there far, far, FAR outweigh the pay!!
- We still haven't gotten girlchild's biopsy results. Today is 10 days and I'm told that is the typical time length?! I'm confident it will be clear but .... let's face it, I AM a mom and I cannot help but have a twinge of worry.
- Speaking of girlchild .... I can tell when she skips a dose of her iron. I pointed it out to her this week and we discussed how she was feeling and she "gets" it. She recognizes how tired she becomes with just ONE missed dose. I elected NOT to point out how GROUCHY she becomes too. HA. I will mention that when she is back on track.
- She and I went shopping last night for her prom dress. She tried on about .... oh, 35??? LOL. Found one she LOVES! It was damaged so we ordered a new one. It should be here Monday or so.
- Boychild is working, working, working. I don't get to see him much :-( I think this new job of mine will help that. I will be home a LOT more. Available a LOT more. Cooking a LOT more.
- OMG -- why, oh why, do I have youngens coming ON to me? I am NOT, and have NO desire (pun intended) to be, Mrs. Robinson!!! HA.
- Definitely decided to join the Y! Yeah, that was a total random comment .... HA!
It is now Thursday and I only have a couple of thoughts to add, hence the edit vs. new post ;-)
- I called the doctor's office and spoke to the receptionist. She seemed very surprised that the lab results were not in yet. She said she'd "turn it over to the girls in the back" and have them call and look for them.
- I'm VERY confident that they will be "NEGATIVE" but I really want to hear those words. KWIM? I'm so hoping the lab/messenger/whoever didn't lose her sample. It cannot be redone, ya know?
- She's sick again. Tummy bug I think. Home from school today. Tomorrow is a half-day, the last day before SPRING BREAK.
- I'm going to St. Augustine next month to see a friend and planned on making a day trip since it is close .... but now I am thinking she and I need to go for 2-3 days and just chill!!
